Pink-footed Goose – one around Old Warden noted on 2nd, 4th and 18th, also recorded at MCP Wetlands NR on 24th
Shelduck – one at Rookery South ClP on 12th, five at MCP Wetlands NR on 16th, two at Broom East CWS on 30th
Red-crested Pochard – a male at Broom East CWS on 3rd and 9th, a pair at Priory CP on 31st
Scaup – one at Brogborough Lake throughout the month
Goldeneye – at least 24 at Brogbough Lake on 5th, five at Harrold Odell CP on 6th, elsewhere singles were noted at Radwell Lakes, Rookery South ClP, Stewartby Lake
Goosander – maximum counts were 13 at Harrold Odell CP on 7th, and 15 around Woburn on the 12th
Woodcock – multiple birds were noted leaving roost at Warden Great Wood (18), The Lodge Sandy (8), with other sightings of more than one noted from Woodbury Hall Estate, Galley Hill Luton, Maulden Wood and Sandy Smith NR
Kittiwake – one st Stewartby Lake on 12th was joined by another next day, one was later noted dead on 15th while the other remained present until 17th
Caspian Gull – a third winter bird noted at Stewartby Lake on a number of dates throughout the month
Cattle Egret – one at Henlow on 8th
Great White Egret – three around Biggleswade Common on 15th, elsewhere reports of singles on many dates at Stewartby Lake and Meadow Lane GP
Marsh Harrier – one around MCP Wetlands NR on three dates, maybe the same seen at Brogborough Tip on 30th, also one at Broom East CWS on 23rd
Short-eared Owl – one at Houghton Brook Pools on 8th and 9th, another at MCP Wetlands NR also on the 9th
Merlin – one seen regularly around Broom GP and Broom South Quarry, likely the same seen near Southill. Another at Stotfold on 15th, and a female at Wixams on 18th
Firecrest – one at Maulden Wood on 1st and 2nd. another at Priory CP on 8th,15th and 18th
