Bewick’s Swan – one at Brogborough Lake on 26th

Whooper Swan – three at Brogborough Lake on 28th

Kittiwake – a moribund bird at Brogborough Lake on 26th

Mediterranean Gull – one or two regularly in roosts at Stewartby Lake and Brogborough Lake during the month

Shag – the bird from October on MCP Wetlands NR was reported until 10th

Cattle Egret – seven flew over the A5 near Hockcliffe on 26th

Short-eared Owl – one at East Hyde on 6th, one at Kings Wood Ampthill on 17th, one at Houghton Brook Pools on 24th. At Thurleigh, two were noted on 12th, with three there on four later dates in the month,

Merlin – birds reported from Thurleigh, Biggleswade and Poppy Hill on 11th, Knotting Green on 14th, Tetworth on 22nd and near Maulden on 25th

Ring-necked Parakeet – six at Priory CP on 9th was the only multiple count

Yellow-browed Warbler – one at Blunham on 5th

Garden Warbler – the latest ever record for the county when one was noted at The Lodge on 6th

Firecrest – one at Sharpenhoe on 21st, another Millbrook on 25th

Common Crossbill – the only feeding group noted was of seven around the new heath at The Lodge on 1st
