Regular winter visitor and passage migrant. (Amber list).
The largest counts during the first winter period, all in January, were 50 at Wixams on the 1st and100 there on the 6th (the highest count all year), 78 at Grovebury SP on the 1st, increasing to 85 by the 5th, 35 at Broom South Quarry on the 14th and 58 at Tetworth Hall Estate also on the 14th. During February, there were 36 at Houghton Brook Pools on the 18th and 73 at Tetworth Hall Estate on the 28th. The last of the spring was one at Broom East on 11th May. The first of the autumn was one at Harrowden WM on 24th July. The highest counts for the second winter period were much lower than in the first, with 30 at Broom South Quarry on 26th October, 25 at Meadow Lane GP on 9th November and 30 at Fenlake Meadows on 31st December.
