Annual passage migrant, with increasing numbers overwintering. (Amber list).
As usual, birds were recorded in every month of the year. During the first three months the highest counts were from Broom South Quarry, with four on 22nd January, three on 27th January, four on 10th February and three on 9th March. During April to June, the best count was of three at Broom South Quarry on 26th–30th June. During July to September, which is traditionally the best period for records, there were four at Harrowden WM on 25th July and 21st August. At Broom South Quarry there were five on 3rd, 14th and 30th August, with nine there on 9th September. During the last three months the highest counts were of three, at Broom East on 8th October, Harrowden WM on 29th October and Broom South Quarry on 11th November.
