Extract from Bird Report 1988

Vagrant.

The only records relate to a major irruption into Britain in 1888, with 14 in Cople for three weeks in May, 18 at Goldington and Ravensden in May (possibly relating to the above group) One was also picked up dead at Thurleigh on 11th June with a second bird shot shortly afterwards.  One was captured and released in Kempston on 3rd July and another was in Cranfield on an unspecified date, which was also the case when one was killed in Luton.
