Extract from Bird Report 2002

A very rare, usually storm-blown vagrant with three records 1946-2002.

An amazing record concerned an apparently healthy adult in summer plumage found at Radwell GP on 8th June (MD&KR).  It arrived on a calm summer’s day, totally the wrong conditions for a seabird to arrive in Bedfordshire! Only the fourth county record, it departed early the following day.
