Very common resident. Included in 76.1% of BirdTrack lists. The East of England long-term trend is increasing +46%*. The long-term trend for Bedfordshire is also increasing +23%*. (Green list).

This familiar resident bird was widely reported throughout the county. At Priory CP, where counts were provided for a significant number of days of the year, the numbers peaked in February when 19 were around the site on the 12th. The highest count of the year was on the same date at The Lodge when 28 individuals were noted. An autumn build-up was at Houghton Brook Pools, with a maximum there of 27 on 30th September, with the observer noting that Robins were “seemingly in every bush”.
