Extract from Bird Report 2021

Rare passage migrant and possible summer visitor to the county – 13 records 1946–2021. (Amber list).

Nocmig recordings were made of a bird passing over Luton on the night of 1st/2nd April which, remarkably, was recorded over Stopsley (MK) and Wychwood Avenue, Luton (AGr) with a gap between recorded calls of just under one minute and a distance of one kilometre. This was the only record for 2021, following three in 2018 and prior to that a gap to one record in 2013.
