Common resident. (Amber list).

Breeding was confirmed at seven sites, all by the presence of recently fledged young, with probable breeding at a further three sites. As they are territorial all year it is likely that a good proportion of about 70 occupied sites between January and late July (when the juveniles disperse) also involved breeding activity.

Overall, some 320 records were submitted from around 100 sites.
