Scarce but annual passage migrant. (Red list).
The first of the spring was one at Broom East on 13th April, followed by one at Grovebury SP on 14th April, two there on 19th April, one over Arlesey on 21st April and one at Broom East on 23rd April. There was one at Broom South Quarry on 27th April, one at Grovebury SP on 28th April, two at Broom East on 30th April, with the last of the spring passage being one there on 4th May. The autumn passage began with a minimum of three birds calling on nocturnal migration over Meppershall on 20th July, followed by one over Rookery North ClP on 27th July, with the last of the year being one over Meppershall on 3rd August.
