Scarce passage migrant, recorded every year since 2005. (Amber list).

There were no spring records. In autumn there was a juvenile at Broom East on 23rd July, which stayed until 3rd August (MSt et al.), followed by the only other record of the year, one at Broom South Quarry on 4th September (MB et al.).

Where best to see them

We have not recorded this bird at any of our birding sites yet.
