Overview

Another site managed by the Wildlife Trust BCN.,

This is our second visit to this newly established reserve, a jewel in Bedfordshire’s crown, where lots of rare summer migrants make their annual visit to breed. Chantelle is confident we will hear Nightingales they arrived 8th April in 2025 on and were vocal by the middle of the month. No fee but donations welcome. A reasonably flat walk but paths can be narrow and overgrown.

Birding Site(s)

Strawberry Hill

Meeting Location and Parking

Parking will be through the galvanised gate (with the Strawberry Hill sign) into the farmyard where the barns are and on the hardstanding. There will also be track mats behind the barns available for parking that we are hoping to lay in April before the walk. If the ground is dry enough there will also be parking on the grass beyond the track mats. We will direct arrivals from the gate to appropriate parking.
