Arctic Tern – at least ten amongst 27 terns at Southill Lake on 1st, two at Stewartby Lake 19th

Firecrest – one singing at The Lodge on 1st, another in the west of the county on 6th

Crossbill – nine at The Lodge 1st and 2nd

Wheatear – Six at Castle Mills on 1st, six at Houghton Regis ChP on 3rd, four at Willington 4th, Sandy Smith 6th and 7th, Pegsdon 13th

Whinchat – Four at Castle Mills on 1st, Brogborough Tip 2nd, Dunstable STW 4th, two at Sandy Smith 7th

Great Egret – over Priory CP 6th

Black-necked Grebe – Brogborough Lake 11th and 12th

Goldeneye – first county breeding record with two downy young recorded on 12th

Curlew – two at Grovebury 13th

Dunlin – one Grovebury 13th, five Black Cat and five Grovebury on 30th

Turnstone – one Priory 13th, Grovebury 27th

Ringed Plover – 12 Black Cat and at Grovebury, 10 on 25th and 8 on 30th

Greenshank – over Biggleswade 27th, Broom GLE on 27th, Black Cat 28th to 30th

Sanderling – four on 25th, two on 28th, one on 29th and nine on 30th at Grovebury

Little Stint – Grovebury 25th

Ring-necked Parakeet – one attending a nest hole in Stopsley

Garganey – male at GLE 15th

Turtle Dove – one at Marston Thrift from April then one at Octagon Farm on 13th and two at Knotting Green on 17th, one at MVCP 19th, two at Tempsford 25th

Spotted Flycatcher – two at Tempsford 17th, one at The Lodge on 22nd

Nightingale – at least four in the brick pit area

Black Tern – six at Southill Lake on 21st during influx in neighboring counties, two Broom 24th, seven Stewartby on 25th, three at Priory and one at Southill also on 25th, four at Radwell 26th, two at Grovebury 30th

Wood Sandpiper – one at Broom GLE 22nd to 24th

Marsh Harrier – regular sightings in the brick pits early in the month and another near Jordans Mill 23rd

COMMON ROSEFINCH – Dunstable garden 25th only (photo)

Golden Oriole – one reported singing at Langford on 29th

Pinkfoot – one at Roxton 30th

Gannet – Great Barford and then overnight at Wyboston 30th/31st
