Ruddy Shelduck – one at Grovebury SP on 2nd

Garganey – one at MCP Wetlands NR from 27th to 31st

American Wigeon – male at MCP Wetlands NR from 29th, seen regularly there into November

Goldeneye – a female at Meadow Lane GP on 7th, one at Priory CP on 28th and 30th

Ringed Plover – one at Broom East CWS on 6th

Jack Snipe – two at Black Cat GP on 14th, also recorded at Meadow Lane GP

Mediterranean Gull – first year at Grovebury on 24th

Caspian Gull – a first winter in a gull roost at Stewartby Lake on 13th, one at MCP Wetlands NR on 29th

Great Northern Diver – one flew over Potton on 25th

Bittern – one flew along the River Ouse near Radwell on 2nd

Cattle Egret – one at MCP Wetlands NR and Stewartby Lake on 27th

Marsh Harrier – a male in Quest ClP on 17th, a female seen intermittently around the brick pits from 24th into November

Hen Harrier – one near Arlesey on 13th and 15th

Yellow-browed Warbler – one in Hulcot Wood on 24th

Ring Ouzel – one over Sharpenhoe Clappers on 13th, one flew into a window in Stopsley on 23rd

Redwing – strong passage on morning of 13th included counts of 6100+ at The Pinnacle, Sandy in just over two hours and 1830 in 40 minutes at Sharpenhoe Clappers, both of which calculated as a rate of 2700 birds per hour. The same day saw a count of 30000 in two hours at one site in Surrey

Stonechat – birds noted at Blows Downs, Brogborough Tip, Chicksands, East Hyde, Henlow, Houghton Brook Pools, MCP Wetlands NR, Pegsdon Hills, Quest ClP, Sandy Heath and Wigmore Valley Park

Hawfinch – birds over both The Pinnacle, Sandy and Upper Caldecotte on 13th, one over Sharpenhoe Clappers on 24th
