Great White Egret – one flew along the River Ivel at Sandy on 12th, one at Willington GP on 17th and 18th, three at Brogborough Tip pools on 20th, presumably same three at Coronation ClP on 21st and two at Chimney Corner North on 22nd, one at Grovebury SP 21st was first for the site.

Snow Goose – one presumed escaped bird at Brogborough Tip pools on 20th – 23rd at least

Ross Goose – one escaped bird at Brogborough Lake on 30th

Pink-footed Goose – one at Willington GP on 17th and 18th

Egyptian Goose – eight were at Peacocks Lake, Broom on 28th

Garganey – bird at Broom GP from August present until 27th Sept at least, one at Chimney Corner North on 7th

Teal – a leucistic bird in Chimney Corner North on 30th

Pintail – one at Millenium CP 7th and 13th

Red-crested Pochard – one juvenile at Millenium CP 8th

Marsh Harrier – two at Quest Pit 8th, one at Millenium CP 13th

Harrier sp – one ringtail at Brogborough Tip on 23rd

Osprey – one over RSPB Sandy 6th

Ringed Plover – one at Grovebury on 1st

Golden Plover – two at Broom GLE 8th

Dunlin – two at Grovebury 12th, two at Broom East 28th

Curlew Sandpiper – one juvenile at Dunstable STW on 17th

Knot – one at Grovebury on 9th

Ruff – one at Broom GLE 8th and 9th

Pectoral Sandpiper – bird at Broom GP from 31st August reported until 2nd Sept

Black-tailed Godwit – one at CCN 1st

Greenshank – one at Broom GLE 6th, two at Millenium CP 7th and 13th, one at Brogborough Tip 8th, one at Millenium CP 20th

Spotted Redshank – one at Broom GLE 8th

Common Sandpiper – two at Millenium CP 13th, one on 20th, one at Priory CP on 24th

Mediterranean Gull – adult at Grovebury on 1st, three there on 12th, another there on 21st, two adults on 28th

Yellow-legged Gull – three at CCN 13th

Caspian Gull – a regular bird at roost in Grovebury SP, another adult there 12th, a 1st-winter there on 29th

Sandwich Tern – two briefly at Millenium CP 20th

Turtle Dove – pair summering at Brogborough Tip/Marston Thrift still present on 1st Sept

Hobby – birds remained towards end of month with one near Wootton on 22nd

Swift – two over Luton on 14th

Yellow Wagtail – 16 in field between Broom and Stanford on 8th

Wheatear – one at Pegsdon 14th, three there on 15th, two at Sharpenhoe on 30th

Black Redstart – one at Luton Hoo 2nd

Redstart-  one at Brogborough Hill on 1st, three on Blows Down 22nd

Stonechat – bird at Brogborough Tip from August until 13th at least, pair at Pegsdon 14th, pairs at Stopsley Common and Blows Downs and three near A421 Swan Roundabout on 22nd, with eleven at Brogborough Tip on 26th where eight remained on 28th, five at Blows Down also on 28th

Whinchat –  nine at Brogborough Tip on 1st, three there on 13th, two at Pegsdon 2nd, one at Streatley 22nd, one at Brogborough Tip on 26th

Spotted Flycatcher – one at Willington 11th, one at Pegsdon 14th and 15th

Pied Flycatcher – one remaining at Pegsdon 2nd
