Common resident. (Green list).

Breeding was confirmed at 21 sites, with probable breeding at a further 34. Most counts were in the range of one to five, with only five double-figure counts. There were ten at Wigmore Valley Park on 1st January, 12 at Shillington on 24th February, 11 at Broom East on 3rd March and ten at Thurleigh Airfield on 17th March. By far the highest count was of 41 at Clifton Bury Farm on 23rd June.
