Regular winter visitor and passage migrant. (Green list).
In the first winter period the highest counts were 250 at Grovebury SP on 19th February, 200 at Clifton Bury Farm on 9th March and 200 at Long Lane Farm, Toddington on 3rd April. The last of the spring was a flock of 30 at Broom East on 21st April. Autumn passage began with at least one at Clifton Bury Farm on 5th July. There were then no more records until 60 over The Pinnacle on 28th September. The highest counts in the second winter period were 300 over The Pinnacle on 3rd November, 500 at Broom South Quarry on 10th November, presumably the same the next day north of Southill, and 300 at Hill Farm, Langford on 11th December.
