Resident and increasing, with a small breeding population. Th e England long-term trend is increasing +15%. (Green list).

Breeding was confi rmed at five sites, in Luton town centre, Dunstable, Cardington, Rookery North ClP and Chalton. There were records of fledged young at four of the confirmed sites. Probable breeding was at a further three sites.

Seen far and wide throughout the year, a total of 413 records were submitted from some 35 sites, and in every month, from 2nd January to 31st December.
