Uncommon but regular winter visitor. (Amber list).
In January, there were eight at Meadow Lane GP on the 7th and fi e at Brogborough Lake on the 31st, with also singles at Priory CP and Broom East. In February, there was an impressive 14 at Radwell Lakes on the 15th, eight still on the 18th, with two remaining to 5th March. Th re was also one at Broom East on 20th February and then four there, high over heading south, on 2nd March. In September, singles were at Broom East and Broom South Quarry on the 5th, with three at MCP Wetlands NR on the 7th, two there on the 29th and then three again on 6th October. Also in October, there were two at Willington Lock Quarry on the 13th–15th, five at Broom East on the 18th, two staying to the 19th, four on the 30th, with two to 2nd November. There were four at Grovebury SP on 3rd November, and then a small infl ux on the 10th, with singles at Broom South Quarry and Chimney Corner South Lake, and two at Meadow Lane GP. There were two at Willington Lock Quarry on 15th–17th November. In December, there was one at Priory CP on the 27th, one at Meadow Lane GP on the 28th–29th, two at Broom East on the 29th–31st, and singles at Broom South Quarry on the 29th and DW Eggs GP on the 31st
The male of dubious origin in Woburn Park, fi rst seen there in March 2022, stayed over from 2023 into January, showed again in May, and then from September through to 2025. A female was at MCP Wetlands NR during 2nd–18th July and reflected the unseasonal occurrences there in 2023.
