Regular winter visitor, usually in small numbers, and at traditional sites. (Green list).

On 1st January there were seven at Woburn Park, six at Harrold-Odell CP, four at Grovebury SP and one at Ampthill Park. On 3rd January there were ten at Woburn Park and 15 at Eversholt Lake, although those two counts may have involved some duplication as birds disturbed from Woburn Park tend to move to Eversholt. There were seven at Harrold-Odell CP on 25th January, with further records from Priory CP (maximum 2), Blunham Lakes, Poppy Hill Lakes and Meadow Lane GP (maximum 3). The last of the spring were two at Grovebury SP on 12th April. The first to return in autumn were two at Grovebury SP on 7th September, followed by two at Priory CP on 20th September. Peak site counts for the rest of the year were three at Woburn Park, seven at Eversholt Lake and six at Harrold-Odell CP. Singles were also at Th e Ridgeway at Blunham, Broom East, Rookery North ClP, Felmersham NR, Girtford Lakes and Whipsnade Zoo.
